Academic Committee of World Young Scientists Summit Officially Established

On May 7th, the Academic Committee of the World Young Scientists Summit was officially established in Wenzhou.

The Academic Committee of the World Young Scientists Summit is a high-end think tank affiliated with the summit, serving as its academic support institution. It will provide strong support and guarantee for the high-quality organization of the World Young Scientists Summit.

The first batch of the Academic Committee consists of 56 renowned young scientists, young technology entrepreneurs, and leaders of young technology organizations from 17 different countries or regions including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Argentina, and South Africa. Professor Lu Zhaoyang, Chair Professor of the University of Science and Technology of China and Executive Dean of the Shanghai Research Institute of the University of Science and Technology of China, serves as the Chairman of the Academic Committee.

To better utilize the world-class talent exchange platform of the summit and accelerate the construction of a talent base supporting the development of new productive forces, the Executive Committee of the summit has formulated and implemented the "Rongshu Home" action plan. This plan aims to build a "one home, one alliance, one fund," and other "six ones" service system to comprehensively enhance the talent service capabilities and levels in Wenzhou. During the event, the unveiling ceremony of the shared community for young scientists, "Rongshu Home," was held. The offline "Rongshu Home" community was officially established at the Academician House of Qidu Ouyue in Lucheng, accelerating the gathering of young scientists and promoting the construction of a high-level innovative talent team.

During the establishment ceremony, the Executive Committee of the summit signed a letter of intent for cooperation with Springer Nature Group. Both parties will explore a series of cooperative projects to support the World Young Scientists Summit hosted mainly in Wenzhou, assisting in the growth, development, and cooperation of young scientists from China and abroad, and enhancing the brand influence and reputation of the summit in the international scientific community.

Subsequently, the Springer Nature Group introduced the journal situation and initiatives in serving the growth of young scientists. Committee members of the Academic Committee engaged in discussions with Springer Nature Group regarding the research environment for young scientists, growth and development, and exchanged views on how to jointly develop in the next steps.

The Academic Committee also held its first plenary meeting, discussing the rules of procedure for the committee, the work plan for 2024, and providing suggestions for the 2024 summit program. Suggestions for the promotion plan of the 2024 summit were also solicited from the Academic Committee members.
