On May 27th, according to domestic media reports, on May 26th in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, a car owner posted a video claiming that their 50-liter fuel tank was filled with 60 liters of fuel, with fuel still remaining inside the tank.

In the video, the car owner questioned the gas station staff, saying, "My 50-liter tank was filled with 60 liters of fuel, how can I accept this?" The refueling cost amounted to 523.83 yuan.

The gas station staff explained that this might be related to the weather. If it's hot, some gas might spill out, but the car owner did not accept this explanation.

Subsequently, the gas station staff responded to the media, stating that the fuel nozzle had been inspected at the beginning of the year and was in good condition, still within its validity period. The company is handling the matter, and relevant departments will investigate.

In response, the individual involved stated that they had reported the incident to the local consumer rights protection hotline.

It is worth noting that in recent times, illegal cases of fuel theft at gas stations have been exposed in many parts of the country.

On May 18th, the State Administration for Market Regulation held a press conference on the comprehensive crackdown on cheating at gas stations and released the transcript of the special operation news conference. They also disclosed the "Typical Cases of the Comprehensive Crackdown on Cheating at Gas Stations (First Batch)," listing 10 typical cases.

Some gas stations engage in "fuel theft" by altering the fuel nozzle measurement standards or changing the gas pump software. Gas stations found engaging in such activities have been penalized by relevant authorities. s_eb3464c1ea40405a84be3aac02019063.png
