On May 10th, at today's product launch event, Thunder God officially unveiled its first AI-enhanced all-purpose laptop, aibook 15, equipped with Core Ultra 7 155H+32GB+1TB priced at ¥6499, available for sale starting tonight at 20:00 on May 10th.
Many people may wonder, what exactly is the "eGPU" for laptops? In fact, it refers to the Oculink interface included in the standard configuration of the Thunderobot aibook15, which can directly connect to an external graphics card dock. This allows thin and light laptops without dedicated graphics cards to have performance close to that of a desktop with an RTX dedicated graphics card.
Compared to Thunderbolt 4, the Oculink solution offers a bandwidth of up to 64Gbps. Utilizing a pure PCIe channel, it enables nearly lossless connection for graphics cards up to the level of the 3080.
According to official tests, when using an external RTX 4090 graphics card via Oculink, the Time Spy score reached 27694, which is 44% higher than the score of 19236 achieved through a Thunderbolt 4 connection; the frame rate in the game "Red Dead Redemption 2" increased by 127%.
In terms of core configuration, the Raytheon Aibook15 is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra7 155H processor, paired with a dual-fan, dual-heat pipe, dual exhaust design for heat dissipation, capable of delivering up to 70W of performance.
Utilizing the Intel4 process technology, the CPU+GPU+NPU tri-core processing unit enables lightning-fast AI computing, effortlessly handling large-scale development, 3A gaming, and more. The built-in next-generation Ruixuan graphics card rivals discrete graphics cards, boasting a 2x increase in 3D graphics performance, high frame rates, low latency, and low power consumption.
The screen is a 15.3-inch 16:10 golden ratio panel with a resolution of 2.5K. It features a 20-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, supports 100% sRGB color gamut, and has a contrast ratio of 1200:1.
The laptop also comes with 32GB of high-speed 7467MT/s LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 high-speed SSD. It has a 65Wh battery capacity, pre-installed with 100W PD fast charging, providing up to 12 hours of simulated office use battery life.
The interface provides 2 USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, 2 full-featured Type-C ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 1 Oculink port, 1 3.5mm headphone jack combo, and 1 SD card reader interface.
The notebook also features a built-in Euler local large model and a personal assistant, Xiao Lei AI's Divine Awakening version. The built-in model achieves 80% of the capabilities of a hundred-billion-level model with only 1% of the model parameters. It is set to be released this summer, with the current price yet to be announced.
