According to the latest leaks from tech blogger @DigitalChitChat, the upcoming vivo X Fold3 series foldable phones and the X100 Ultra imaging flagship phone will all feature Samsung's 2K E7 displays.

The previously released iQOO 12 Pro debuted with the Samsung 2K E7 display, boasting not only high resolution but also a 9% reduction in power consumption compared to the E6 model.

The iQOO 12 Pro sports a 6.78-inch 3200 x 1440 OLED dual-curved screen, with a peak brightness of 1600 nits globally and a staggering 3000 nits locally. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and other advantages. The standard version model is labeled as "V2303A," supporting 80W charging power, while the Pro version model is labeled as "V2337A," supporting 120W charging power.

Previously leaked information suggests that the vivo X Fold3 standard version is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, while the Pro version is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

Furthermore, the vivo X Fold3 series will see upgrades in screen resolution across the board, feature large-capacity batteries, boast a 50MP main camera, and achieve a reduction in thickness and weight across all models.

This series of phones will also exclusively feature advanced technologies such as a large-aperture periscope telephoto lens, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and 50W wireless charging. These two new models are expected to debut in late March.

As for the highly anticipated X100 Ultra, although it has been leaked multiple times, the specific release time remains unknown. Tech blogger @数码闲聊站 suggested that this new model might be released in May.

According to the blogger, the X100 Ultra will feature a Samsung 2K E7 curved screen with minimal changes in form. With a 200 million-pixel main camera equipped with a periscope telephoto lens, the final equivalent focal length is less than 100mm (calculated based on a main lens with a 23mm equivalent focal length, resulting in a native magnification ratio of less than 4.3 times).

Currently, all prototypes of this device feature glass bodies and support two-way satellite communication.

Editor's commentary:

Given the outstanding screen quality of Samsung's E7, as evidenced by its performance on iQOO devices, its incorporation into a foldable screen this time around is expected to deliver an even better display experience for the Fold3. s_e62ad2c904ef41b9b7443e8c02543f01.jpg
