On March 5th, according to CCTV News, the first smart electric vehicle (EV) charging and swapping demonstration zone in China was completed in Jiangsu province.

This demonstration zone, through upgrades to both hardware and software of charging infrastructure, aims to enhance the efficiency of charging stations.

Covering three cities in Jiangsu province - Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou - the demonstration zone will feature the construction of 21 charging and swapping stations, with nearly 300 charging piles.

With the support of intelligent algorithms, the system comprehensively assesses the actual status of charging slots, charging prices, queue waiting times, and other information, and then recommends the optimal charging solution to vehicle owners.

According to reports, owners of new energy vehicles simply need to input their destination, vehicle's remaining mileage, battery capacity, and other information into a mobile app to determine the most economical and time-saving charging options.

It is estimated that the average monthly queue time for vehicle owners within the demonstration zone can be reduced by nearly 50%.

Ruan Wenjun, Director of the Marketing Department of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd., Market Division, explained that compared to traditional charging methods, this intelligent guidance system can proactively recommend the best charging solutions to vehicle owners based on their driving habits, queue conditions at charging stations, and preferential charging service prices.

The benefit for vehicle owners is that they no longer need to manually sift through charging routes, saving both charging time and costs. s_f2bf564e9aff468fbd83473ccdd1cba6.png
