On March 5th, Wei Brand's General Manager and concurrently TANK Brand's General Manager, Liu Yanzhao, provided clarification regarding a recent accident, stating, "This was an accident that occurred during a customer test drive, and the salesperson who sustained minor injuries is currently in good physical condition."

Furthermore, Liu emphasized: "When crossing intersections, it's essential to stop, look both ways, and then proceed. One must remain vigilant while driving. While we have confidence in the safety of the 700 model, it's still preferable to avoid real-world incidents whenever possible." It was reported that at the time, the Tank 700Hi4-T was making a left turn when it was hit by an oncoming freight truck. The truck was traveling at such a high speed that it couldn't brake in time, resulting in a direct collision with the passenger side door panel, where the salesperson was seated.

From the images, it can be seen that the passenger side door of the Tank 700Hi4-T was dented and the airbag deployed, but there were no other significant injuries reported. The salesperson went to the hospital for examination and found some bruising on the arm, along with ringing in the ears, while the customer on the test drive did not experience any issues. s_40de7438df554c74a3757a4168620df9.png

As the flagship model of Tank Motors, the vehicle was launched on the market on the evening of the 26th of this month, with three variants available, starting at a price of 428,000 RMB. This price is even lower than expected, prompting many to exclaim it's a great value deal.

The new car is equipped with a 3.0T V6 turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 265 kW. It also features a P2 electric motor, providing a combined power output of 385 kW and a torque of up to 850 N·m, paired with a 9AHT gearbox.
