On March 4th, according to the sales data just released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), Tesla's wholesale deliveries in February totaled 60,365 units.

This marked a decrease of 18.9% compared to the 74,402 units sold during the same period last year and a 15.5% drop from the 71,447 units sold in the previous month.

It's worth noting that in 2023, Tesla globally delivered a total of 1.8086 million vehicles, representing a 38% year-on-year increase, precisely hitting the target of 1.8 million vehicles set at the beginning of the year.

With the fierce "price war" among domestic new energy vehicle brands kicking off in 2024, Tesla has also adjusted its prices.

On March 1st, Tesla announced that it would offer a limited-time insurance subsidy for the rear-wheel-drive versions of the Model 3 and Model Y, along with designated paint benefits for all models.

The insurance subsidy amounts to 8,000 CNY, while the maximum paint discount can reach up to 10,000 CNY.

According to Tesla, the company is currently in between two major growth waves: the first wave began with the global expansion of the Model 3/Y platform, while the next wave of growth will be triggered by the global expansion of the next-generation vehicle platform.

Tesla stated that with the development of the next-generation vehicles, the sales growth rate in 2024 will "significantly decline." s_440c215dedc4433683d9e5cf7cc8cb74.png
