On March 4th, in response to the new regulations for couriers implemented this month, JD appears quite composed, as it's their forte.
JD has stated that since establishing its own logistics in 2007, over the past 17 years, JD Express has consistently considered doorstep service as one of its service standards, continuously leading the industry in improving end-service standards.
Currently, JD Express' commitment to compensation for not delivering packages door-to-door covers 50 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Urumqi, with plans to expand coverage further.
Moreover, while strictly adhering to relevant regulations, JD Express aims to provide personalized pickup and delivery services tailored to the needs of different consumers, ensuring that each consumer enjoys an exclusive express service experience.
Of course, not all couriers from other companies are as composed. The new regulations have sparked attention, with many applauding the provisions for offering more convenience and choices to consumers.
However, some courier drivers, in interviews, have expressed concerns. Previously, they could deliver up to 500 packages a day, but under the new regulations, they can only manage around 100 packages a day, making it unrealistic to answer every call. Some have even mentioned colleagues switching to delivering takeout.
Experts suggest that in the long run, the implementation of these new courier regulations aims to drive overall improvement in the courier industry.
Currently, the courier industry is undergoing rapid competition and reshuffling, with some courier companies likely to break the existing situation. Courier enterprises should actively explore effective and feasible solutions to genuinely promote high-quality development within the industry.
