China Social Sciences Academy University, which recently welcomed a new Party Committee Secretary, has added two more leaders to its roster.
Upon investigation by reporters from The Paper, it was found that the "Current Leadership" section of China Social Sciences Academy University's official website has been updated to reflect the appointment of Wang Qiliang as Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Vice President (Vice Dean) of China Social Sciences Academy University (Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), and Zhan Long as Assistant to the President of China Social Sciences Academy University.
Publicly available resumes indicate that Wang Qiliang, a member of the Yi ethnic group, was born in November 1977 in Mengzi, Yunnan Province. He holds a postgraduate degree in law and a Ph.D., is a professor, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He joined the Communist Party of China in April 1997 and began working in July 2002.
Wang Qiliang currently serves as Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Vice President at Kunming University of Science and Technology, concurrently appointed as Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Vice President (Vice Dean) of China Social Sciences Academy University (Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences). He has previously held positions such as Dean of the Graduate School of Yunnan University, Director of the Discipline Construction Office, and Minister of Graduate Student Affairs.
Wang Qiliang's research interests lie in jurisprudence, legal sociology, and anthropology. He has led two projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation and is currently leading one key project funded by the National Social Science Foundation. He has received numerous national and provincial awards, including the "Fourteenth Higher Education Young Teachers Award" from the Ministry of Education and the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award from the Ministry of Education. He has published works such as "Sociology of Law: A Study of Cultural Contextualism" and has authored over 60 academic papers.
Zhan Long, a member of the Han ethnic group, was born in November 1976 in Jingyuan, Gansu Province. He holds a postgraduate degree in history and a Ph.D., is a researcher, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He joined the Communist Party of China in June 1998 and began working in July 2003. He currently serves as Assistant to the President of China Social Sciences Academy University.
Zhan Long's primary research areas include the history of state governance in the Ming and Qing dynasties and historiography. He has led dozens of projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation, published over a hundred academic papers, and authored several academic works, earning him multiple first and second prizes for outstanding achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels.
China Social Sciences Academy University is affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and was established based on the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, integrating undergraduate education at the China Youth Political College and some postgraduate education resources.
Earlier, the official website of China Social Sciences Academy University updated to reflect that Cui Weihang, former Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Office of China Local Chronicles, has assumed the position of Party Committee Secretary at China Social Sciences Academy University (Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences).
