On March 4th, AVEVA officially announced that starting today, AVEVA 11 will receive an OTA update powered by Huawei ADS 2.0. This update introduces a navigation assistance feature that doesn't rely on high-definition maps, enabling a high-level smart driving experience accessible across the entire country.

The update covers all kinds of roads nationwide, including main arteries, secondary roads, tertiary roads, and all urban roads, as well as highways, national roads, provincial roads, and rural roads, making every road accessible for smart driving. s_1b88bdc64d274fd7b9613c4bdbd6c523.png Moreover, the Avita 11 has also OTA-updated various new features such as the custom parking function and the Emergency Lane Keeping Assist (ELKA).

For instance, in an open area without parking space lines, the Avita 11 can automatically select a target parking spot and park itself.

With the "Emergency Lane Keeping Assist" feature turned on by default, if the vehicle veers off its current lane and there's a risk of collision or leaving the road, this emergency assist helps the driver steer to avoid the risk, ensuring the vehicle stays safely within its lane. s_08ec178c020f441789bfc56ef15ee4d6.png

s_1ed8524c39cf4a29b6167ce764f9cad4.png It's reported that in early February this year, Avita took the lead in equipping Avita 12 with the Urban Autonomous Navigation Assistance (NCA) feature, which does not rely on high-definition maps.

Similar to Avita 11, Avita 12 comes standard with three lidar sensors and 34 smart driving sensors, making it the production vehicle with the highest number of smart driving sensors in its class.

This configuration expands the perception area of Avita 12's autonomous driving system to the size of 2.5 football fields, significantly enhancing its maximum autonomous driving capability.

According to Avita officials, the urban NCA of Avita 12 is now available on all city roads, achieving a road coverage of 99.5% due to the presence of three lidar sensors. This surpasses the industry standard of 99%, making it the domestic automotive leader in road coverage for available segments. s_ffc2c7028d1d4fbbb651c86382244f5d.png
