On March 2nd, it was reported that there was a video circulating online showing two cars racing in the rain in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. One of the cars involved was a XPeng P7, which lost control due to overspeeding and flew off the road. The other car involved in the race was a Tesla.

In response to this, XPeng stated that according to data, the vehicle was in normal condition before the accident, and the driver had not engaged any assisted driving functions. There was evidence of high-speed driving prior to the collision, with the maximum speed reaching 169km/h, and at the time of impact, the speed was 145km/h.

According to descriptions from eyewitnesses at the scene, the driver of the XPeng P7 was driving at excessive speed, crashing directly into a utility pole, then hitting a road sign, and finally colliding with a tree, resulting in the car being completely burnt to the frame. Additionally, the owner of the vehicle is suspected to have died at the scene.

However, experts analyzing the video concluded that this traffic accident was entirely due to human error and not related to the vehicle itself.

This incident serves as a reminder to everyone not to engage in street racing or aggressive driving behaviors. Driving at high speeds on wet roads, especially during rainy conditions, greatly increases the risk of losing control. Furthermore, in the event of a high-speed collision involving electric vehicles, there is a heightened risk of battery damage and subsequent fire. Let's cherish life and prioritize safety when traveling. 86dfdb1901434478af1ee56036a4445b.gif
