On March 2nd, according to official sources from Beijing Hyundai, their compact SUV model, the MuSa (formerly known as the ix35), based on the i-GMP platform, is now available with a limited-time discount, starting at 99,800 CNY. This represents a significant price reduction of 22,000 CNY compared to the previous range of 121,800 to 167,800 CNY.
The exterior adopts a design language known as the "Hyundai Look," characterized by unified parametric jewel pattern designs throughout the vehicle, aiming for a distinctive expression of individuality.
At the front, there's the distinct "H" grille with jewel-like accents, complemented by vertically positioned headlights that offer excellent recognition and support automatic adjustment between high and low beams.
With dimensions measuring 4475/1850/1665mm in length, width, and height respectively, and a wheelbase of 2680mm, this SUV is positioned as an entry-level compact SUV. Its waistline design is particularly unique, featuring a wide-body effect at the wheel arches and cohesive decoration along the side skirts that seamlessly connect with the front and rear bumpers.
In terms of the rear end, the elliptical tail lights are quite distinctive, offering strong recognition. Whether they look good or not is another matter altogether.
In terms of power, MUFASA is equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum output of 161 horsepower (118 kW) and peak torque of 193 Newton-meters. It offers four driving modes and three multi-terrain modes.
Notably, the vehicle also won the "Best Design Car" award at the fourth China Automotive Celebrities Summit held earlier this year on CCTV.
