30 Innovative Manufacturing Projects Released at Zhongguancun International Technology Trade Fair

On April 27, 2024, the "Sino-Italian Advanced Manufacturing Industry Cooperation Matchmaking Session" was held in Beijing as part of the Zhongguancun International Technology Trade Fair. Zhao Qing, the second-level inspector of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Management Committee, stated that Beijing has always attached great importance to global scientific and technological innovation cooperation, making the construction of international science and technology innovation centers a top priority. The Zhongguancun Forum is a national platform for global scientific and technological innovation exchange and cooperation. Through the China-Italy Advanced Manufacturing Industry Cooperation Matchmaking Session, it is hoped to further promote practical exchanges and technological cooperation between China and Italy in the field of advanced manufacturing.

Zhang Jinhui, Deputy General Manager of Zhongguancun Development Group and Chairman of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Service Company, introduced that there is enormous potential for economic and technological innovation cooperation between China and Italy. In the future, Zhongguancun Development Group will focus on high-end vertical segments, strengthen cooperation with Italy in technology research and development, industrial innovation, talent cultivation, and other areas, to promote higher-level integration and development of the China-Italy advanced manufacturing industry.

Yinuo Chen, Advisor of the Italy-China Foundation and Professor at the University of Sassari in Italy, expressed that as China-Italy cooperation deepens, incubators and accelerators play an important role in the innovation ecosystems of both countries. He encouraged new innovative enterprises to seize opportunities, achieve internationalization as soon as possible, and enter broader markets.

At this event, Sergio Cavalleri, President of the University of Bergamo in Italy, Wang Jian, Secretary-General of the China Technology Automation Alliance and Director of the Smart Factory Research Institute, Giovanni Brelio, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Naples Federico II, Enia Colombo, General Manager of ICONA Design Group, Tao Yong, Associate Professor at Beihang University, and Chen Jing, Director of the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center, among other guests, discussed the present and future of the advanced manufacturing industry from various elements of the innovation ecosystem. A special dialogue on industrial cooperation in the field of robotics was also held during the event.

It is reported that this event was organized by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Management Committee, the Zhongguancun Science City Management Committee, and the Zhongguancun Development Group, with the Beijing Zhongguancun Science and Technology Service Co., Ltd. and the Beijing International Technology Exchange Alliance (NICTC) as the organizers.
