March 1st Update: Today, TeRui's Zhao Changjiang teased the 2024 model of the TeRui D9 on Weibo.
Zhao Changjiang mentioned that since its launch, the TeRui D9 has become the top-selling MPV in the domestic market in 2023, thanks to its versatile product capabilities suitable for both business and home. It truly achieved the title of the best-selling model in both the DM-i and EV sub-markets, breaking the monopoly of traditional MPVs for over 20 years and successfully activating the new energy MPV market.
"As a revolutionary luxury MPV, the TeRui D9 is defined by its luxurious ride experience, always imitated but never surpassed," he candidly stated.
Finally, Zhao Changjiang announced that the 2024 model of the TeRui D9 will be launched on March 6th. Show cars are already available in stores for users to experience in person and to place online orders.
According to previous reports, the Tengshi D9 achieved a cumulative sales volume of 127,840 units in 2023, securing the annual sales championship in the MPV market. Moreover, the Tengshi D9 reached the milestone of 100,000 units in just 11 months from its first mass-produced unit, making it the fastest domestically produced new energy luxury vehicle to reach this mark.
The dimensions of the upcoming New Tang D9 four-seater version have been revealed in its declaration information. The new car measures 5250/1960/1900 millimeters in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 3110 millimeters, which remains identical to the standard Tang D9 model. Pre-sales for the new vehicle have commenced with a price tag of 660,000 CNY, and it's limited to just 99 units.
But there's an upgrade in terms of the interior. The new car will feature a more luxurious 2+2 seating layout, with a dual-tone scheme of purple-red and beige that complements the body color.
It's also equipped with individual aviation seats that are wide and plush, supporting features like electric leg rests and zero-gravity mode. Passengers can adjust the seats via the touchscreen on the center armrest.
Furthermore, the new car is equipped with a DM-i plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and front and rear dual motors. It has a maximum power of 102 kilowatts, with the front and rear electric motors having maximum powers of 170 kilowatts and 45 kilowatts respectively.
