On February 29th, reports from various media outlets indicate that Xiaomi Home Technology Co., Ltd. has recently undergone business registration changes.
The business scope has been expanded to include the sales of new energy vehicles, charging piles, batteries, brokerage of used cars, motor vehicle repair and maintenance, battery leasing, and chauffeur services.
According to records, the company was established in January 2017, with Zhao Xinran as its legal representative and a registered capital of 80 million RMB, fully owned by Xiaomi Communication Technology Co., Ltd.
As per previous announcements, Lu Weibing, partner and president of Xiaomi Group, as well as president of the International Division and general manager of the Xiaomi brand, disclosed:
The initial batch of Xiaomi automobile sales and service partners has already signed contracts, with the first batch of 2S stores currently undergoing renovations, scheduled to provide Sales & Service (2S) services to automobile users on time.
Regarding the 2S service, the official explanation provided is: Sales and after-sales business, while spare parts and feedback services remain the responsibility of Xiaomi Automobile.
