A blogger recently commented on the pricing of the Jike 001, expressing astonishment and suggesting that it poses a direct challenge to NIO and Xiaopeng. They also mentioned that, from the perspective of product performance, it's more appealing than Tesla if one isn't fixated on foreign brands.
In response, Li Xiang, CEO of Ideal Automobiles, reposted the Weibo post and commented: "Both the product performance and pricing are exceptionally strong!"
Actually, although the Geely K001 is quite competitive, its competitive relationship with Ideal Auto is relatively small, mainly because there are significant differences between the Geely K001 and Ideal's current lineup in terms of pricing and vehicle positioning.
Ideal Auto's entry-level model is the Ideal L7, starting at 319,800 CNY, and Ideal's entire lineup consists of SUVs, while Geely's lineup has no SUV models.
Furthermore, objectively speaking, the recently launched Geely K001 is quite competitive in terms of product strength and pricing.
The new Geely K001 offers 118 upgrades compared to the old model, with the entire lineup equipped with an 800V high-voltage system and offering a choice of 95kWh/100kWh batteries.
The vehicle's infotainment system features the 8295 chip, with in-car satellite communication technology, and the entire lineup comes standard with a Yamaha audio system with 28 speakers, as well as standard laser radar, among other features.
The single-motor version has a maximum power of 310 kilowatts and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the dual-motor system has a comprehensive power of 580 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.
Compared to current domestic models such as the Xiaopeng P7, NIO ET5, BYD Han, and Tesla Model 3, the Geely K001 stands out for its high configuration, high performance, and high cost-effectiveness. With the arrival of the new Geely K001, it will have a significant impact on the domestic market for pure electric sedans priced around 300,000 CNY.
