On February 28th, Zhiqi's Automotive Design Director, Xu Dengtao, unveiled renderings of the brand-new L7 variant on his personal social media platform. Officially dubbed as the "Zhiqi L7 Cross GT," this model showcases a rugged hunter-inspired design.
Xudeng Tao asks: "Will hunting-style attire become a new trend? And if Zhi Ji also releases a hunting-themed coupe based on the L7, would it capture your heart? I mean... if."
Following that, Zhi Ji Automobile CEO Liu Tao retweeted the message, asking, "If Zhi Ji L7 Hunting Edition is launched, how many people would want it?"
Based on the official images released, the new vehicle adopts a standard SUV design, with the front end resembling that of the Zhiqi L7. However, the rear of the car extends further backward, giving the elongated body a very elegant appearance.
Furthermore, to enhance the sporty appearance of the vehicle, Zhiji also incorporated a small rear spoiler into the car's design, enhancing its visual appeal.
However, according to sources familiar with the matter, "the rendered image may simply be a 'homework' assignment from SAIC Design Center, and it's unclear whether there's any intention for project development internally."
From the current market perspective, with the successful launch and decent sales of models like the NIO ET5 T, more and more manufacturers are entering the production of similar vehicles. Examples include the Jike 001, NIO ET5T, and the upcoming NIO SS.
