On February 28th, it was reported that the heat surrounding China's first 3.0T V6 plug-in hybrid luxury off-road vehicle, the Tank 700Hi4-T, continues to rise after its release. According to official data released by Tank, the new vehicle received over 6,000 orders within a single day.
The vehicle has also attracted numerous enthusiasts from the Middle East who have come to China in groups to check out the cars, showcasing its formidable product strength.
The Tank 700Hi4-T is available in three models, with prices ranging from 428,000 to 700,000 RMB. Previously, Tank's CEO, Liu Yanzhao, stated that the pricing of the Tank 700 is determined from a global perspective, not solely based on the Chinese market.
If we benchmark the technical capabilities of the Tank 700 horizontally, its price is not just over 1 million, but possibly 2 million. The Tank 700 adopts the best chassis from passenger car-level models.
Liu Yanzhao believes that the price of the Tank 700 is not high because it offers features that others do not have. He also explicitly stated that Tank will not engage in price wars because good products do not need price wars.
The Tank 700 Hi4-T is the first domestically-produced 3.0T V6 hybrid hardcore off-road vehicle, powered by a 3.0T V6 turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 265 kilowatts. It also features a P2 electric motor, resulting in a comprehensive vehicle power of 385 kW and a torque of up to 850N·m.
The high-end model of the Tank 700 Hi4-T will be equipped with an electronically disconnectable stabilizer bar, which can increase the vehicle's suspension rebound stroke by 60 millimeters during extreme off-road or recovery situations. The battery is also installed within the frame of the vehicle, ensuring its safety during off-road adventures.
