On February 28th, reports emerged revealing that the American Highway Safety Insurance Institute (IIHS) recently released its latest round of crash test results and vehicle safety ratings.
Tesla's Model Y for 2024 has once again clinched the top safety rating from IIHS: "Top Safety Pick +".
It's worth noting that this year, the evaluation standards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the United States have become even more stringent.
Reportedly, in this round of crash testing, apart from falling slightly short in the "child safety seat" category, Model Y aced all other tests with flying colors.
As a recap, Tesla delivered a total of 1.81 million vehicles globally in 2023, marking a 38% year-on-year increase.
Among these 1.81 million vehicles, over 1.2 million were Model Y units, making Model Y the best-selling model globally for the year 2023 across all vehicle categories.
This underscores that as the current world's best-selling model, Model Y's test results are nothing short of impressive.
