According to @BYDAuto's official Weibo, the new colors were unveiled in collaboration with the internationally renowned color authority Pantone: three representative "Guochao" colors, specifically Twilight Purple, Glazed White, and Lotus Grey.
According to the official video introduction, the theme for this new color palette is "Flagship National Charm, Eastern Elegance."
The inspiration for the "Twilight Purple" color scheme comes from Wang Bo's poem "Preface to the Tengwang Pavilion," with the original line, "The flowing water ends, leaving a clear and cold pond; the mist solidifies, turning the twilight mountains purple."
During the twilight hours, the interplay of mountain mist and the setting sun creates a thin purple haze enveloping the twilight mountains, presenting the aesthetic atmosphere of traditional Chinese colors. Observing the Twilight Purple colored car, the overall purple hue is striking and exudes a unique charm.
The "Silver Glazed White" color scheme is inspired by the Xing Kiln white porcelain from the Tang Dynasty, one of the earliest official kilns in ancient China. Its design is simple and elegant, pure white and bright, resembling both silver and snow. Integrating this into a car brings out a refined smoothness and a luminous beauty throughout.
The "Lotus Rhyme Gray" interior offers a warm, pure visual sensory experience, subtle yet rich in texture. BYD has its own "insights" into the power of Chinese culture's national trend, with three representative colors showcasing the unique charm of history.
Furthermore, the official video also unveiled several detailed configurations of the BYD Han and Tang Glory Editions. The 2024 models of the BYD Tang DM-i and DM-p share the same grille design, which is both sporty and sharp.
The refreshed BYD Han and Tang come equipped with a smart cockpit, featuring the YunNian-C and the advanced "Angel Eye" intelligent driving assistance system.
