On February 26th, at MWC2024, CEO of Honor, Zhao Ming, mentioned in an interview that the entire PC industry is as bustling as the smartphone industry, if not more so.
Zhao emphasized Honor's mission to reshape the PC industry and its value chain, not merely relying on existing solutions and operating systems, but leveraging core capabilities to innovate. He stressed that without added value and innovative overlays, the industry holds no significance for Honor.
Furthermore, Honor identified the potential for AI to revamp the PC industry significantly, enhancing operational efficiency by analyzing all processes.
Zhao pointed out that adopting the AI strategy from smartphones to laptops revealed immense potential after reconstruction. With many professionals, students, and office workers relying heavily on laptops alongside smartphones and tablets, Honor aims to outshine Apple by enabling seamless cross-device services through AI.
Highlighting Honor's superior AI capabilities on the device side globally, Zhao expressed confidence in surpassing all existing laptop manufacturers and even competing with Apple in the future.
He stated that their first showcase, the "cross-system and cross-device AI strategy," garnered substantial support from partners, who seek a leading brand capable of integrating fragmented ecosystems and competing with Apple both in ideology and strategy.
