On February 26th, reports emerged on the X platform, with a user stating: "The Cybertruck is built for California, with its armored glass capable of thwarting criminals attempting to forcefully break in, even if they try to climb onto the roof."
The user accompanied the statement with a video showing a group of criminals in a vehicle stopping beside a Tesla Cybertruck at night.
The criminals repeatedly attempted to smash the windows of the Cybertruck with various tools, but seeing no effect, they even climbed onto the roof in search of a way in. Ultimately, they failed to breach the truck's defenses and had to retreat empty-handed.
The user also provided real-life photos of the Cybertruck being attacked, showing noticeable marks on the driver's side window and the roof, although they didn't shatter. The rear passenger window had smaller marks.
Elon Musk responded to this by saying, "Tesla Cybertruck, the best doomsday defense tech!"
On November 20, 2023, a user on Platform X also posted a video of a vandal smashing the windows of a Cybertruck. Ironically, the tool wielded by the vandal bounced back, directly hitting the vandal's face. This user admitted that they no longer fear parking on the street.
According to previous reports, this isn't the first time a Cybertruck has encountered such incidents. It has been rear-ended and struck multiple times, yet the Cybertruck emerged relatively unscathed, while the vehicles of the offenders were severely deformed or nearly totaled.
Furthermore, in Tesla's official demonstration of bulletproofing, after multiple rounds of gunfire, only shallow bullet marks were visible, with no penetration of the vehicle body, and the windows could still be operated normally. This demonstrates the strong protective capabilities of the Cybertruck.
Thanks to the robust stainless steel exoskeleton of the Tesla Cybertruck, its armored glass is touted to withstand impacts from baseballs at speeds of up to 112 km/h and even fourth-level hailstorms.
