On February 26th, Beijing Automotive unveiled teaser images for the upcoming Beijing BJ30.
In the image, it's evident that the new car adopts the latest design style from Beijing Automotive. The overall appearance and body lines exude a rugged and robust aesthetic.
Upon its market debut, it is anticipated to compete with models such as the Haval Big Dog and the JETOUR Traveler.
As a new generation model, the official product description of the new Beijing BJ30 is "light off-road SUV." Compared to the current models on sale, the new vehicle has seen significant improvements in design.
The new model features a combination of straight lines and rounded designs, with the addition of a black and white color scheme that infuses it with a trendy vibe. The daytime running lights at the front, paired with the rear light assembly, offer impressive visibility and distinctiveness when illuminated at night.
From a side view, the new car features smoked A and B pillars, along with a floating roof design. Paired with large tires, it presents a very rugged appearance.
At the rear, the new vehicle adopts a more simplistic design approach, opting not to use an externally mounted spare tire.
In terms of dimensions, the new Beijing BJ30 measures 4730mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1790mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820mm. These figures represent an increase compared to the 2021 Beijing BJ30 model.
In terms of power, the new Beijing BJ30 gasoline model is equipped with a 1.5T gasoline engine, with a maximum power of 138 kilowatts. This represents a 23-kilowatt increase compared to the 2021 Beijing BJ30, which had a 1.5T gasoline engine.
On the other hand, the power system of the new Beijing BJ30e hybrid version consists of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The 1.5T engine in the hybrid version shares the same model as the one in the gasoline version. However, the maximum power is reduced to 116 kilowatts, and the top speed is 170 kilometers per hour.
