February 25th news, we have learned from the official Zhiji Motors that the 2024 Zhiji L7 has officially hit the market. The new vehicle is available in 4 models, with prices ranging from 299,900 to 419,900 CNY.
From what we've gathered, the new car, as a mid-cycle refresh model, mainly upgrades in terms of intelligence and comfort, introducing new features like a lidar system and a one-click AI driving function.
Digging into the details, the new car's exterior largely remains the same as the previous model. It sports a closed-off front design with sharp-looking headlights. Below the headlights, there's an LED matrix screen capable of displaying various patterns.
On the side, the new car features sleek lines with a waistline that runs across the entire body, giving the car a sense of layering with its side skirts.
At the rear, the new model continues to feature a through-type taillight design, which is distinct in its layers. Paired with the diffuser below, it further accentuates the car's sporty vibe.
In terms of dimensions, the new vehicle measures 5108mm in length, 1960mm in width, and 1485mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3100mm. It boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.21Cd.
Looking at the interior, the brand-new semi-spoke steering wheel design is quite eye-catching, and there's also an option for a new round steering wheel. The screen-to-body ratio of the new screen has been increased by 10%, and the storage space in the front and rear door panels and the armrest box has been upgraded.
The rear has been upgraded with a new magnetic expansion dock, which can magnetically attach items like lamps and tablets. The rear seat cushion length has been increased by 30mm, reaching 520mm, and comes equipped with electrically adjustable leg rests, a backrest adjustment ranging from 25° to 35°, as well as segmented waist and shoulder massage functions.
In terms of intelligent configuration, the new vehicle comes standard with laser radar across the entire lineup, equipped with the IMOS 2.7.0 system, featuring the NVIDIA Orin X chip, which boosts computing power by nearly 8 times. The Market NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) function has been further upgraded. The Commute Mode Beta version will undergo nationwide public testing in the first quarter, while the Commute Mode Advanced version is set to cover 100 cities nationwide within the year, introducing the official onboarding of the "One-Click AI Chauffeur" function.
On the power front, the single-motor rear-wheel-drive version boasts a maximum power of 340 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, and achieves a CLTC (Chinese Long-Term Cruising) pure electric range of 708 kilometers.
The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version, with a maximum power of 578 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.87 seconds, and has a CLTC cruising range of 625 kilometers.
The noteworthy feature here is the inclusion of an intelligent four-wheel steering system in the vehicle. The rear wheel steering angle can reach up to 12°, resulting in a tight turning radius of only 5.4 meters. Additionally, it is equipped with an all-terrain electronic control intelligent damping suspension, capable of rapidly adjusting the suspension damping size within 10 milliseconds.
With the support of EVD vector four-wheel drive technology, the transition between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive takes a mere 300 milliseconds.
