On February 23rd, Microsoft (China) Limited's Chief Technology Officer, Wei Qing, discussed artificial intelligence, emphasizing that AI is still in its infancy, likening it to the parable of blind men and an elephant; everyone must be willing to explore the unknown.

Wei believes that the emergence of artificial intelligence has left many feeling bewildered, with uncertainty looming over what will happen next. Nevertheless, he encourages everyone to actively engage in exploring the unknown.

Furthermore, Wei Qing highlights that in our era, avoiding deception is the greatest blessing. With the majority of daily information being generated by machines, it's essential to learn how to sift through vast amounts of data to discern what is truly relevant and useful to you. AI serves as an invaluable tool in this regard.

"Describing the abilities of machines using human language is highly perilous. Machines, with their ability to express in probabilities, can surpass human capabilities. When you don't understand how machines generate results, they either become idolized or demonized, but what's even more dangerous is anthropomorphization," Wei Qing cautioned.

Where do future opportunities lie? Wei Qing suggests two things: firstly, brush up on your math skills. Secondly, prepare ample amounts of data, high-quality data, to nurture machines, much like raising a child.

Wei Qing bluntly advises against idolizing, demonizing, or anthropomorphizing machine capabilities. Thus, humans are humans, and machines are machines. Therefore, it's crucial to utilize data to ultimately nurture and train machines to possess a semblance of human intelligence. s_828fb9baab62408d9843afe7686c0844.jpg
