Musk Wasn't Bluffing! Tesla Cybertruck Tested by Owners: Functions Like a Boat

Sat, Feb 24 2024 07:47 AM EST

On February 24th, it was confirmed that Tesla's Cybertruck electric pickup truck is indeed one of Elon Musk's proudest creations. Previously, Musk claimed that the Tesla Cybertruck could function as a boat, which sparked skepticism among many.

Recently, some of the first Cybertruck owners conducted rigorous tests, directly driving the vehicle into the water.

The tests were conducted multiple times, with each iteration seeing an increase in speed. It was evident that the water was quite deep, with the water level reaching nearly the bottom of the windows when driving slowly. It truly appeared as though the Cybertruck was sailing, yet it successfully passed the test without any hiccups. s_154445faef2a4a8f92d5cd1a7daa17fd.png

However, most other parts remain unharmed. s_780244377273427a964946abaece3300.png

However, it's important to note that while it's highly capable, the Cybertruck is not designed to be a boat, so it's best not to attempt navigating it in large rivers or bodies of water.

For those interested in crossing bodies of water, Elon Musk had previously hinted at preparing a module for the Cybertruck, allowing it to traverse water bodies at least 100 meters wide, with minimal modifications required, mainly focusing on upgrading the lower door seals for improved waterproofing. 914447bd-2e10-4099-ac70-dbfcd011c079.jpg
