Tech News, February 24 - Today, current Apple CEO Tim Cook took to Weibo to commemorate the 69th birthday of Apple's co-founder, Steve Jobs.
Cook expressed his memories of Steve on his birthday, remembering the lives he touched, the vision he shared, and the profound impact he had on our world.
"We are here in this universe to make a little ripple, so why not make one?" said Cook.
Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California and was raised by an adoptive family. He developed an interest in electronics from a young age. In 1974, he took a leave from college due to financial reasons and worked at Atari, a video game company.
On April 1, 1976, Jobs co-founded Apple Inc. with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. They released the first Apple personal computer, the "Apple I," later that year.
In 1985, Jobs left Apple due to internal power struggles and went on to establish Pixar Animation Studios.
In 1997, Jobs returned to Apple and took on a leadership role. The following year, he introduced the iMac, which helped Apple overcome financial difficulties.
On August 24, 2011, Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple. He passed away on October 5, 2011, at the age of 56, due to pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor.
Jobs revolutionized the tech industry with products such as the Macintosh and iPhone, which ushered in the era of graphical user interface computers and mobile internet. The latter also transformed the concept of smartphones.
