According to local regulations, for each successfully reported violation of a motor vehicle, one can receive a cash reward of 30 RMB.
In response to netizens' doubts, the woman replied, "For those with a strong sense of morality, it's better not to judge. Besides, there's nothing uneasy about doing things according to the law."
As for the doubts raised by netizens, the Hunan Highway Police explained that on highways, if violations such as illegal parking, occupying emergency lanes, or crossing solid lines are observed, they can be reported through the "Snapshot" platform for reporting violations. After the reported information is verified, financial rewards will be issued within 30 working days. For the same reporter, the cumulative reward for multiple valid reports within one calendar month does not exceed 1500 RMB.
In other words, the authorities support this behavior, so the woman's receipt of 1500 RMB is not only not uncomfortable but also legally justified.
