On May 1st, it was reported that many people enjoy Korean Samyang spicy noodles, but a friendly reminder that excessive consumption of this convenient food can lead to serious health issues.

Recently, Lucy Mullard, a 24-year-old short video blogger from Washington state, USA, had to seek emergency medical treatment for kidney stones after consuming Korean Samyang spicy noodles for an extended period. She revealed that she had been eating these instant noodles every week for six months, which resulted in severe cramps and bloody urine, ultimately leading her to the emergency room.

During an interview, doctors suggested that her condition was likely linked to the high salt content in this type of instant noodle product. Processed foods like instant noodles, canned soups, and frozen meals, due to their high salt content, can contribute to the formation of kidney stones.

Doctors further explained that each packet of these instant noodles contains half of the recommended daily salt intake, increasing the risk of crystal formation in the kidneys, leading to stone formation, and in severe cases, potentially developing into sepsis.

Following the blogger's video release, other spicy noodle enthusiasts shared similar experiences, with some needing hospitalization. However, some individuals mentioned they would not give up eating spicy noodles, opting to drink more water after each meal as a solution. s_899fbc4a4f9746e3a075c55f0e174e6d.jpg
