According to reports from Fast Technology on February 21st, Apple is set to unveil a new lineup of iPad Pro models in March, including 11-inch and 13-inch variants, promising to be the most powerful iPads ever produced by Apple.
One of the major changes expected in the new iPad Pro is a significant reduction in thickness. Specifically, the dimensions of the 11-inch model are rumored to be 249.7x177.5x5.1mm, compared to the current 11-inch iPad Pro dimensions of 247.6x178.5x5.9mm.
As for the 13-inch model, it is said to measure 281.5x215.5x5.0mm, whereas the existing 12.9-inch iPad Pro measures 280.6x214.9x6.4mm.
This indicates a reduction in thickness of 0.8mm for the new 11-inch iPad Pro and 1.4mm for the 13-inch version, highlighting a significant change.
The reduction in thickness of the new iPad Pro is mainly attributed to the adoption of OLED screens. OLED displays, due to their self-emissive nature and lack of backlight modules, allow for thinner form factors.
Additionally, OLED provides purer blacks and eliminates halo effects, enhancing overall display quality.
