TechNews, February 21st - According to media reports, the Volkswagen sub-brand Cupra has officially released the official photos of its Born VZ model.
It's reported that the vehicle is positioned as a high-performance version of the Cupra Born, which is a compact electric two-door car.
From the exterior, the design of the car seems somewhat familiar, and that's because the Cupra Born is indeed a sibling model of the Volkswagen ID.3, with both models built on the same platform.
However, compared to the ID.3, the Cupra Born has been upgraded from the ID.3's design, with an overall more aggressive and sporty appearance.
In the front section, the new car features sharper lines, with the hood bulging upwards on both sides and a trapezoidal design below, complemented by aerodynamic elements on the sides, resulting in a very sporty look.
From a side view, the vehicle features smoked windows and side skirts, coupled with 20-inch sporty alloy wheels, enhancing its athletic appeal even further.
In terms of the rear end, the design of this car bears a striking resemblance to the ID.3. The continuous tail light design is unique, and the bottom features a diffuser design, giving it a sporty look.
In terms of interior design, the new car features a flat-bottomed sporty steering wheel, equipped with a large LCD instrument panel. The size of the central control screen has been increased by 0.9 inches compared to the standard version, reaching 12.9 inches.
The new car can be optionally equipped with a 425-watt, 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Additionally, it comes with sporty seats adorned with the Cupra logo, further enhancing the dynamic ambiance.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 322 horsepower single electric motor, with a maximum torque of 545 N·m. It utilizes rear-wheel drive and pairs with a single-speed gearbox. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes only 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/h. The battery capacity is 79 kWh, providing a pure electric range of 570 km.
Additionally, compared to the standard Cupra Born, the new car has upgraded braking and suspension systems, delivering an enhanced driving experience.
