TechNews, February 15th - During this week's 2024 World Government Summit, Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, stated that every country needs to have its own artificial intelligence infrastructure in order to protect its culture while harnessing economic potential.
However, Huang emphasized, "You can't leave this task to others."
Huang believes that sovereign AI presents a tremendous opportunity for global leaders, stating, "It encapsulates your country's culture, social wisdom, common sense, history—you own your own data."
When asked how he would approach artificial intelligence as a leader of a developing country, Huang stressed the importance of building infrastructure.
"This isn't as expensive or as difficult," he said. "Of course, the first thing I need to do is compile language and cultural data into my own large language model."
Finally, Huang Renxun also praised his own product, saying, "NVIDIA GPU is the only platform that can be used on any platform."
