750°C "Snowblower" Clears Highway Snow During "Category 12 Typhoon" Blizzard

TechExpress, February 21st - Recently, the central region of China has once again experienced extreme and harsh weather conditions such as blizzards, cold waves, and freezing rain, causing snow accumulation and ice coverage on urban areas and highways, affecting the safe passage of vehicles.

According to domestic media reports, in order to promptly and efficiently clear the snow on highways, a "magic tool" for road snow removal and ice breaking was introduced for the first time on the Dawu section of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway by Hubei Communications Investment Group.

In the video, a 12-meter-long yellow construction vehicle is seen operating on the highway, with continuous high-speed hot air blowing from the nozzles on both sides of the vehicle, clearing all the snow on the road surface as it passes by, with extremely high efficiency.

It is reported that this snow removal "magic tool", known as the High-Speed Snow Blower King, is similar to a box truck, with four nozzles on its front and sides, providing immense "blowing power".

"The 'heart' of this vehicle is converted from a retired aircraft engine, and it is used for the first time in highway snow and ice removal."

Technicians stated that the high-speed turbofan snowblower operates at a speed of approximately 30 kilometers per hour, clearing snow thickness of about 10 centimeters with a sweeping width of about 50 meters.

Its combustion temperature reaches 750°C, while the temperature of the blown hot air ranges from 30 to 80°C, quickly melting snow accumulation and drying icy road surfaces, allowing highways to achieve passable conditions relatively quickly, making it a snow removal "magic tool" for highways in icy weather conditions.

Furthermore, the vehicle has a maximum thrust of 8.8 tons, equivalent to the power of a Category 12 typhoon, consuming 2 tons of fuel per hour. 37ad902143834966b4f6e4f866b12431.gif
