According to the latest from Tech Sina on February 21st, tech blogger Digital Chitchat Station has revealed detailed information about the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, which is MediaTek's most powerful smartphone chip.
Reportedly, the Dimensity 9400 is built on TSMC's 3nm process, making it MediaTek's first 3nm smartphone chip and marking the official entry of the Android camp into the 3nm era.
This chip integrates the Immortalis G9 series GPU, with a single-core CPU design performance of 2700 points and a multi-core score of 9800 points.
As a comparison, the Apple A17 Pro scores around 7500 points in multi-core performance, far below the performance of the Dimensity 9400.
Additionally, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 achieved 110fps in GFXBench Aztec, compared to 99fps from the previous generation chip, indicating a significant performance boost.
As usual, MediaTek is expected to launch the Dimensity 9400 chip by the end of this year, with competitors being the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 and the Apple A18 series unveiled around the same time.
Considering that vivo X series has often debuted with Dimensity 9000 series chips, it's possible that the Dimensity 9400 will still debut with vivo.
