TechFast reported on February 21st that last October, AMD launched the RX 6750 GRE 10/12GB graphics cards specifically for the mainland Chinese market, with starting prices of 2219 CNY and 2379 CNY respectively. However, the actual selling prices quickly fell below these figures, which AMD couldn't tolerate.
At the end of January, AMD issued internal notices to AIB brand manufacturers and distributors, demanding strict control over the prices of RX 6750 GRE 10/12GB, with minimum prices set at 2149 CNY and 2379 CNY respectively.
However, the actual selling prices of both models were still lower than these minimums, with the RX 6750 GRE 12GB now available for just 2249 CNY.
Seeing that the situation was still out of control, AMD immediately took stricter measures and started imposing fines.
It is reported that in the recent enforcement, if AMD discovers that the online selling price of RX 6750 GRE is below the minimum price, they will directly approach the brand manufacturers and distributors and impose certain penalties.
Specifically, for the first, second, and third offenses, a fine of 500 CNY per unit will be imposed.
If a fourth offense is detected, a fine of 1000 CNY will be imposed, and AIB brand manufacturers will be required to suspend sales directly.
It must be said that AMD attaches great importance to the Chinese Special Edition RX 6750 GRE, to the extent that they did not even allow the newly released RX 7600 XT to enter the Chinese market, in order to maintain their market position.
