Tech enthusiasts, on February 19th, vivo unexpectedly unveiled a new device, the "vivo Y100t", which has already been listed on their official website and e-commerce platforms. Pre-sales will commence on February 23rd, although the price has not been disclosed yet.
However, the official highlights of the new device have been revealed. The vivo Y100t will feature the Dimensity 8200, a mid-range "Godly" chipset, and come with 120W fast charging, aiming to deliver exceptional performance within its segment.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 is built on TSMC's 4nm process, featuring a 1+3+4 architecture. Its performance cores are Cortex-A78, reaching up to 3.1GHz, accompanied by 4 efficiency cores, Cortex-A55, clocked at 2.0GHz.
This chipset, also dubbed as the "God U" in the mid-range segment, excels in both performance and battery life. Its Antutu benchmark scores can even surpass one million.
From its appearance, the vivo Y100t seems to be a redesigned version of the iQOO Z8, which was released in August last year. At that time, the variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage was priced at 1999 CNY, and it's expected that the price of the new model will be further reduced this time around.
It's anticipated that the vivo Y100t will overall inherit the peripheral configuration of the iQOO Z8, including a 6.64-inch LCD full-screen display with a resolution of 2388 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear camera setup, with a 5000mAh battery.
