As per Frank Weber, while manual transmission models hold an irreplaceable position in the hearts of car enthusiasts, and manual M models are particularly intriguing products, their sales are dwindling. Therefore, it no longer makes sense to introduce such models.

Currently, among BMW's lineup, manual transmission M models available include the M2, M3, and M4 models.
In addition, in January of this year, BMW also introduced a manual transmission version of the Z4 M40i model, which will provide a 6-speed manual gearbox as an optional package for the vehicle.
While manual transmission models hold significant importance for car enthusiasts, with the ongoing maturation of automatic transmissions and the proliferation of new energy vehicles, manual transmission models are gradually being replaced.
