Tech Express, February 15th - Lexus recently unveiled its 2023 global sales report.
Reportedly, Lexus achieved a global sales figure of 824,258 units in 2023, marking a 32% year-on-year increase.
Breaking down sales by region, North America led with 355,606 units sold, a 24% increase compared to the previous year. Following closely behind is the Chinese market, with sales reaching 181,411 units, showing a 3% increase and capturing 1/5 of the market share.
According to the previously released ranking of imported cars in China, Lexus surpassed BBA (BMW, Benz, Audi), securing the top spot in imported car sales.
In addition, Lexus sold 94,647 units domestically in Japan, boasting the fastest growth rate at 129% year-on-year. In the European market, Lexus sold 69,202 units in 2023, marking a 46% increase. Sales in the Middle East reached 46,472 units, showing a 60% increase, while in East Asia, sales totaled 43,930 units, with a 65% increase.
Lexus stated that electrified vehicle sales accounted for a record-high 47% of global sales in 2023, with significant contributions from the new generation RX and the all-new RZ, enriching Lexus's product lineup.
Moving forward, Lexus will continue to accelerate its electrification efforts to introduce more vehicle models.
