According to reports from February 15th by Fast Technology, a Tesla Cybertruck owner in the United States noticed rust spots on the vehicle's body shortly after it was delivered and exposed to rain. This level of delicacy is concerning. S6fa416be-f361-4eb6-bc03-6f8bad6c7bf4.jpg It's reported that an American netizen has recently shared pictures of their rusting Tesla Cybertruck on social media. Indeed, the images show clear signs of rust.

The netizen mentioned that they received their Cybertruck on February 1st, 2024, during a rainy day in Los Angeles. They noticed initial corrosion on the metal body after it was exposed to rain. They documented the entire process as evidence to submit to Tesla.

The netizen aims to ensure that their vehicle gets addressed under warranty and has scheduled a service appointment for it. During this time, they attempted to clean the exterior to confirm if it was indeed rust and not just dirt.

However, Tesla's customer service personnel stated that the repair process needs to be followed and that they didn't have the necessary tools for the repair. They also mentioned that Tesla hadn't dealt with such repairs before. Eventually, they only documented the situation and mentioned that they would come back for repairs next month after obtaining the required tools.

The netizen expressed frustration over this. They revealed that they had only driven the Cybertruck for 381 miles (approximately 613 km) and noticed rusting just 11 days after taking delivery, with most of the time spent parked in front of their home. It's speculated that the orange rust spots might have formed due to cold weather, rain, and direct sunlight exposure.

Some bloggers commented that Cybertruck's stainless steel body lacks a transparent coating, and affected owners may have to resort to polishing methods for treatment. S576d8f01-a620-415c-9001-93a08de5e2e1.jpg
