It's reported that Ideal L6 has already been filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and from the name, we can see that Ideal L6 is one notch smaller than Ideal L7.

Currently, Ideal has three models on sale: Ideal L9, Ideal L8, and Ideal L7, with each model achieving around 10,000 units per month.
The L series keeps getting smaller, yet its sales keep soaring. It's clear that Chinese consumers love these big-sized family-friendly rides.
The upcoming Ideal L6, which is about to hit the market, will come in three different models according to Ideal's style. These models are expected to be the Air Pro, Max, and three other configurations, with none of them having laser radar as a standard feature.
As a reference, the dimensions of the Ideal L6 will shrink to 4925mm (length), 1960mm (width), 1735mm (height), with a wheelbase of 2920mm, which is 125mm shorter than the Ideal 27.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 1.5-liter engine model L2E15M, with a maximum power of 113 kilowatts. Additionally, it is expected that the Ideal L6 will adopt the same power combination as the L7, featuring a 1.5T range extender paired with front and rear dual motors.
Based on the submitted information, it appears that the Ideal L6 will use lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are lower in cost, leading to a decrease in the vehicle's price. According to the official documents of the Ideal L7, the estimated price of the Ideal L6 will be around 250,000 CNY, positioning it against models like the Wanjie M7. The Ideal L6 will also feature air suspension.
In 2023, Ideal sold a total of 376,030 vehicles across its L series, marking a whopping 182.2% increase compared to the previous year. These figures are a clear testament to Ideal Cars' success. And guess what? The Ideal Mega is already on its way and set to be delivered soon.
The ideal L6 becoming a bestseller?
The answer is that the sales of the Ideal L6 will certainly not be low, but to become a bestseller, selling tens of thousands of units every month still needs to pass the market test.
Nowadays, Ideal Motors has set a sales target of 800,000 units for 2024, and the Ideal Mega is about to be launched and delivered. However, judging from the price, the Ideal Mega is not a high-volume model.
On the other hand, a mid-size SUV priced around 250,000 CNY, with the same target audience of family users as the L9, L8, and L7, is a model that is more likely to achieve high sales volume.
However, due to the increasing number of quality issues with Ideal Motors vehicles in recent times, whether it will be suppressed by the quality public opinion remains to be seen. So, it's difficult to reach 800,000 units, but if the quality of the Ideal L6 remains good, then the possibility of becoming a bestseller is very high, especially with the continued development of extended-range models.
