TechNews February 10th report, users often encounter micro-stuttering issues when using computer devices, not only during gaming, but also when browsing the web.

This issue is quite complex and not always related to the GPU; sometimes it's related to the CPU, memory, or can be resolved with software updates.

NVIDIA has identified at least one potential micro-stuttering issue and has released a hotfix driver update version 551.46.

This new driver is based on the currently released version 551.23 and addresses several micro-stuttering issues related to vertical sync. The update changelog is as follows:

  • Some users may experience intermittent micro-stuttering in games when vertical sync is enabled;
  • PCs with certain specific system configurations may experience stuttering when scrolling in web browsers;
  • In "Red Dead Redemption 2" Vulkan, stuttering may occur on some laptops that support Advanced Optimus features;
  • "Immortal Legend" fixes stability issues that may occur after prolonged gaming sessions.

If you have already installed version 551.23 and haven't encountered these issues, you can wait for NVIDIA to release the next update. NVIDIA推出新版hotfix驱动程序:解决开启垂直同步后、部分笔记本微卡顿问题
