TechNews, February 8th - Gigabyte has launched the Z790 EAGLE motherboard, expanding its Eagle product line from graphics cards to the motherboard sector, starting at a price of 1599 yuan.
The Z790 EAGLE series motherboard, ATX specification, features a 12+1+1 DrMOS power supply design, dual 8-pin power connectors, and VRM heatsinks.
This motherboard supports 12th/13th/14th generation Intel Core processors, providing four DDR5 memory slots, supporting up to DDR5-7600+ (OC) specifications, with a maximum capacity of 192GB.
Equipped with one PCIe 5.0 full-length slot (x16 lanes), one PCIe 4.0 full-length slot (x4 lanes), one PCIe 3.0 full-length slot (x1 lane), and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots; one PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 22110 slot, two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 slots (one supports SATA protocol), and four SATA III interfaces. It also features two Thunderbolt headers, with optional expansion cards supporting 40Gbps bidirectional data transfer speed.
For rear I/O, the new motherboard features one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, one DisplayPort 1.2 port, one PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, and Wi-Fi module antenna interface (Wi-Fi version with Wi-Fi 6E wireless card), and an S/PDIF OUT optical digital audio output interface.
Additionally, the motherboard provides one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C header, one USB 3.2 Gen1 header, and two USB 2.0 headers for front I/O or expansion.
