According to the information from the National Science and Technology Awards Office, the preliminary evaluation for the 2023 National Science and Technology Awards has concluded, with a total of 59 natural science awards, 52 general projects for the Technology Invention Award, and 132 general projects for the Science and Technology Progress Award publicly announced.

In the field of household appliances, it is noted that for the Technology Invention Award, projects involving individuals from Sichuan Changhong, BOE, and TCL China Star each received awards (all second prizes). The project "Key Technologies and Applications of Multi-grade Energy-efficient Supply of Air Source Heat Pump" publicly announced this time involves contributors such as Wang Ruzhu, Luo Mingwen, Hu Bin, and others. The main contributing units include Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Midea Heating Equipment, Midea Refrigeration Equipment, and Midea Zhizhi Refrigeration Equipment. The preliminary evaluation suggests a second prize for the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Judging from the contributing units, this should be an industry-university-research collaboration project, focusing on the efficiency improvement of air source heat pump products and technologies, which have been particularly popular in recent years, involving the entire industrial chain from air source heat pumps to compressors.

The awarded achievement for the National Technology Invention Award, titled "Key Technologies and Applications of Integrated Light Field 3D Display," was completed by teachers from Beihang University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Tianjin University, and other universities, along with technical personnel from Sichuan Changhong and BOE Group. This project focuses on the application and exploration of 3D display technology in the field of education. Companies such as Sichuan Changhong and BOE are likely promoters of technology application transformation and implementation.

The project "Key Technologies and Equipment Innovation and Application of Meat Product Processing, Storage, and Transportation" publicly announced this time, with main contributors including Xu Baocai, Wang Shaoyun, Wei Bangfu, and others. The main contributing units include Hefei University of Technology, Northeast Agricultural University, Yurun Food, and Changhong Meiling. This should involve technological achievements related to the full-chain preservation of processed meat products.
