1587 Projects Exhibit at the 27th National Invention Exhibition

The three-day 27th National Invention Exhibition was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei on May 22. With the theme "Coexistence of Innovation Chain and Industrial Chain, Prosperity Shared by Talent and City," the event featured themed exhibition areas such as New Quality Productivity, Unicorn Enterprises and Innovative Craftsmen, University Scientific Research Achievements, New Energy Vehicles, and Youth Invention and Innovation, showcasing outstanding scientific and technological achievements and vocational skills from China. Over 700 companies and research institutions from more than 60 cities nationwide, along with 1587 invention and innovation projects, participated in the exhibition.

Yu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Invention Association, stated that the numerous cutting-edge invention and innovation projects and outstanding scientific research talents brought by this exhibition are organically integrated with the industrial clusters and strategic emerging industries in Shijiazhuang, continuously boosting local industrial upgrading and high-quality development.

Ma Yujun, Deputy Secretary of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, mentioned that over the years, Shijiazhuang has fully implemented the new development concept, accelerated high-level scientific and technological innovation, strengthened key core technology breakthroughs, promoted technology transfer, and strived to build an innovative environment with excellent mechanisms and abundant innovative drive in Shijiazhuang. He hoped that experts, scholars, and people from all walks of life at home and abroad would enhance exchanges, pool wisdom, actively contribute ideas for scientific and technological innovation in Shijiazhuang, and let the concept of invention and innovation shine in the land of Hebei.

Intellectual property rights serve as both the protection network for innovative achievements and the catalyst for new quality productivity. Li Danlu, Deputy Director of the National Intellectual Property Administration, emphasized the mutual promotion and symbiosis between intellectual property rights and technological innovation, playing an important role in incentivizing innovation, building brands, regulating market order, and expanding openness.

During the exhibition, a skills development and technical innovation competition was also held, with 35 teams and over 170 participants from South Africa, Thailand, Myanmar, and China engaging in activities such as the design, implementation, and management of new power systems and the deployment and application of drones.

The National/International Invention Exhibition is a large-scale science and technology exhibition in China with a focus on invention and innovation. It serves as a significant platform for showcasing invention achievements, promoting innovative projects, and facilitating technological trade exchanges, with over 50,000 invention achievements exhibited. Research achievements from institutions such as the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou Jieneng Food Machinery Co., Ltd., and Xiangtian Technology Co., Ltd., including the industrialization of selenium-rich purple wheat, key technologies and applications of low-carbon high-performance permeable concrete, Helicobacter pylori immune milk, modern food and production equipment, and innovative engineering technologies for automated and efficient production of practical mushroom sticks, were showcased at the opening ceremony where cooperation agreements were signed with Shijiazhuang enterprises.

The exhibition was organized by the China Invention Association and the Chinese Council of the BRICS Business Council, hosted by the People's Government of Shijiazhuang, and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China Association for Science and Technology, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the International Federation of Inventors' Associations.
