According to the latest research report from RUNTO Technology, as of April 23rd, in the first quarter of 2024, online sales of esports monitors in mainland China reached 1.21 million units, marking a 24.7% year-on-year increase.

Notably, esports monitors accounted for a whopping 58% share of the entire market, reaching a historic quarterly high. Over the past three years, the market share of esports monitors has doubled within the overall market.

Refresh rate stands as a pivotal performance metric for esports monitors, and the current trend indicates a continuous rise in refresh rates. s_d35ed990419f494699224da96b06b2b5.png Data indicates that the market share of mainstream 144Hz refresh rate products has declined by 7 percentage points year-on-year, accounting for only 23% of the entire esports monitor market. In the first half of 2022, this proportion was as high as 40%, indicating that its market share has almost halved in just two years.

Currently, 165Hz remains the mainstream refresh rate for esports monitors, occupying 39% of the market share, but it has dropped by nearly 15 percentage points compared to the same period in 2023.

Meanwhile, the market growth of 180Hz products has been the most rapid, increasing by 20 percentage points compared to the same period in 2023, reaching a market share of 23%.

The market share of esports monitors with refresh rates of 240Hz or even higher has also increased by 3 percentage points, with the latest market share being 11%.

Following this growth trend, it is expected that in the near future, refresh rates of 180Hz and above will become the new mainstream for esports monitors. s_604d7e180d5a48e68cfd2477724e2d26.jpg
