April 8th, according to a post from the official WeChat account of "Power Construction China," China Energy Engineering Corporation's Gezhouba Group has officially initiated the construction of the Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station project. This project is located within the boundaries of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County and Minshan District, Benxi City, Liaoning Province, with a staggering total investment of ¥121.45 billion.
The construction scale of the Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station is massive, including upper and lower reservoir dam structures, water conveyance systems, underground powerhouses and their ancillary structures, supplementary water systems, and other core components. The station will be equipped with 6 units, with a total installed capacity of 1800 megawatts, and is expected to have a construction period of 81 months.
The construction of this significant project not only demonstrates China's robust capabilities in the field of new energy but also signifies a solid step forward for Liaoning Province in the development of green energy. Once operational, the station is expected to generate an annual electricity output of 36.14 billion kilowatt-hours, providing stable and reliable power support to Liaoning's power grid.
The main functions of the Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station include peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, frequency regulation, and phase modulation, effectively maintaining the safety and stability of the power grid operation.
